Key workflows for learning, practice, review, and settings.

Start learning

  • You can open Start Learning from the menu entry, Home quick start/continue cards, or the Start button on an item detail page.
  • The menu option “Continue learning” resumes your most recent learning dialogue (not Practice mode).
  • Start Learning has three modes: Default continues your path and recommends the next item, Custom lets you choose items and quantity, and Random quickly picks items for practice.
  • Each learning item goes through the teaching flow first, then scenario role-play. Completing both marks that item as mastered.
  • Choose a mode and tap Start to begin.

Practice & tests

  • In the learning hub, switch to Practice mode and choose 1-3 learning items.
  • For role-play, select a scenario first, then start the dialogue practice.
  • Practice mode supports up to 3 learning items per role-play.
  • A role-play is complete when all required items are used: the left icon in each top card changes from × to ✓. When all cards show ✓, the role-play is marked complete.
  • Practice mode does not affect learning item progress statistics.

Review & records

  • Conversation history can be filtered by date, status, and task type.
  • In-progress sessions show a “Continue” button to resume.
  • Learning item details include examples, grammar hints, and related dialogues.
  • In learning, role-play, or conversation detail pages, tap an AI response snippet to play that segment; use the audio play button to play the full response.

Settings & account

  • Adjust target JLPT level, interface language, and theme in Settings.
  • Voice & audio lets you pick TTS voices (choose the character voice you like) and test the microphone.
  • Membership center is for upgrades; Account & Billing lets you manage/cancel subscriptions and change your password.

FAQs

Recording won't start or there's no input?

Check browser microphone permissions, verify the input device, and close other apps using the mic.

No audio or playback blocked?

Use the “Unlock audio” prompt in chat, then try again and confirm device volume.

Page stuck loading or failed to load?

Check your network, refresh, or log in again. If it persists, email support with time and a screenshot.

Why can't I continue a conversation?

Only in-progress sessions can be resumed; completed sessions are read-only.

Membership status or billing not updated?

Refresh in Membership, wait a few minutes, and contact support with order time if needed.
